01How to choose
Three questions before you choose
The published capacity is the maximum allowed on board, and children count toward it. To keep everyone comfortable, leave a little room to spare.
- How many of you are there? Between 20 and 30 guests you have plenty of choice; above 30, the list narrows to trimarans, superyachts and event catamarans.
- Where will you board? Almost every group option departs from Puerto Vallarta. Nuevo Vallarta and La Cruz de Huanacaxtle have yachts for 20, and the event catamarans also leave from Nuevo Vallarta.
- What will you eat and drink? Some vessels offer ice and water so you can bring your own, others include drinks and snacks, and a few add lunch and an open bar.

Several generations on board, with shade, kayaks and paddleboards. A catamaran such as the Lagoon 43 or the Catamaran 47 gives everyone room to find their own spot.
Company outings
Team building, incentive trips or year-end gatherings. The Custom 103 and the Custom 90 take up to 50 guests with an open bar and lunch.
Graduations
A whole graduating class fits on the Catamaran 72 or the Catamaran 90, with a sound system, restrooms on board and, on the larger one, a DJ booth.
Celebrations
Birthdays, anniversaries or send-offs: the Custom 34 Trimaran is a favorite for parties and sunsets, and the Trimaran 40 pairs snorkeling at Los Arcos with an open bar.
05Food and drinks
Food and drinks for the whole group
With a large group, what the charter includes matters as much as the vessel itself.
- Open bar and food: the Trimaran 40, Custom 90, Custom 103, Hatteras 58 and Hatteras 61. On the event catamarans, the menu and bar are set in your quote.
- Lunch included: the Azimut 85 (2017), for up to 25 guests, and the Azimut 80; the Azimut 105 adds a chef on board for up to 20.
- Bring your own: the Custom 34 Trimaran and the Catamaran 47 include ice and water, welcome your own food and drinks, and can add catering at an additional cost.
Check the drink quantities on each listing and ask about upgrades if your group is large. Everything is confirmed in writing.

How to plan a group charter
Confirm your headcount
Count adults and children. If the number may change, tell us so we can suggest options with room to spare.
Pick the departure point
Puerto Vallarta, Nuevo Vallarta or La Cruz de Huanacaxtle: whichever is closest to where most of the group is staying.
Decide on food and drinks
Included in the charter, brought by your group or added through catering.
Get everything in writing
Schedule, boarding point, inclusions and terms, all before you book.

Frequently asked questions
Which vessel carries the most guests?
The Catamaran 90, for up to 200 guests, with two bars, a DJ booth and women's and men's restrooms. Next is the Catamaran 72, for up to 150. Both depart from Puerto Vallarta or Nuevo Vallarta.
Is there a minimum group size?
The event catamarans have one: according to their listings, the Catamaran 72 requires at least 55 guests and the Catamaran 90 at least 65. If your group is smaller, there are trimarans for 30 or 40 guests and yachts for up to 50. We confirm each vessel's conditions in your quote.
What if my group is larger than a yacht's capacity?
The maximum capacity cannot be exceeded, for safety reasons. Choose a larger vessel or ask us about options with more than one vessel on the same day, subject to availability. Remember to count everyone, children included.
Can we bring our own food and drinks?
On many group options, yes, including the Custom 34 Trimaran, the Catamaran 47 and the Custom 50; each listing says whether it is allowed. Several can also add catering at an additional cost.
Are there open-bar options for large groups?
Yes. The Trimaran 40, for up to 40 guests, and the Custom 90 and Custom 103, for up to 50, include an open bar and lunch. On the event catamarans, the menu and bar are set in your quote and confirmed in writing.
Do these vessels work for corporate events?
Yes. For work teams, incentive trips or conventions there are yachts for 20 to 50 guests and catamarans for much larger groups. Tell us the plan for the day and we will send options with everything in writing. More ideas on our weddings and events page.
How far ahead should we book?
As early as you can, especially in high season, because there are only a few high-capacity vessels. Some, such as the Custom 90, are offered only during certain months. Send us your date and number of guests and we will check availability.
