Catamarans and trimarans · Banderas Bay
Sailing catamarans, a power catamaran, trimarans and event catamarans for groups of 14 to 200 guests. All depart from Puerto Vallarta with a captain and crew, and the event catamarans can also leave from Nuevo Vallarta.

01Why a catamaran
A catamaran spreads its space across two hulls, which means wide decks, good stability and areas of sun and shade so everyone finds a spot.
That makes it a natural fit for families, snorkeling days and easygoing cruises around Banderas Bay. Several come with a kayak and a paddleboard, and the Lagoon 38 has a large trampoline at the bow for lounging just above the water.
This category also includes trimarans, with three hulls and an open, sociable deck, such as the Custom 34 Trimaran, which has plenty of shade.

02The fleet
All of them depart from Puerto Vallarta; the event catamarans can also leave from Nuevo Vallarta. Compare capacity, length and food included on each card.

03Types
Not every catamaran is the same. Here is what each style in the fleet offers.
The Lagoon 38, the Leopard 44, the Lagoon 45 and the Lagoon 45 II, for 14 to 25 guests. The Leopard 44 adds an air-conditioned salon, a fully equipped kitchen and a BBQ grill.
Whether you sail depends on the wind and the captain's judgment; if it matters to you, mention it when you ask for a quote.
The Lagoon 43, a stable power catamaran for up to 25 guests, and the Catamaran 47, also for 25, with ice and water: a good fit if you prefer to bring your own food and drinks.
The Custom 34 Trimaran, for up to 30 guests, is a favorite for parties, sunsets and beach-club transfers. The Trimaran 40, for up to 40, follows a Los Arcos and Colomitos itinerary with guided snorkeling, kayaks, paddleboards, lunch and a national open bar.
The Catamaran 72, for 55 to 150 guests, and the Catamaran 90, for up to 200, each with a bar, a sound system, women's and men's restrooms, and a captain with a crew of six. The Catamaran 90 has two bars and a DJ booth.
04On the water
All that deck space makes a catamaran work for almost any plan on the bay.

05On board
Each catamaran has its own package. Before you sail, we confirm quantities and any upgrades in writing.
The Custom 34 Trimaran and the Catamaran 47 include ice and bottled water, welcome your own food and drinks, and can add catering at an additional cost.
The sailing catamarans and the Lagoon 43 include beer and sodas with snacks such as seasonal fruit, guacamole, salsa with chips or ceviche. Food and open-bar upgrades can be added to the Lagoon 38.
The Trimaran 40 includes a national open bar, a turkey sandwich, fish ceviche and a green salad. On the event catamarans, menus grow with the length of the charter, and we confirm in writing what your quote includes.
Common questions
A catamaran offers more deck space for its size and good stability thanks to its two hulls, which families and snorkelers appreciate. A motor yacht, on the other hand, usually has an indoor salon and staterooms. Choose based on the plan for the day and the size of your group.
Yes. Alongside the catamarans you will find the Custom 34 Trimaran, for up to 30 guests, and the Trimaran 40, for up to 40. A trimaran has three hulls and an open deck that works well for groups and parties.
From 14 guests on the Lagoon 45 II to 200 on the Catamaran 90. For mid-sized groups, the Lagoon 43, the Lagoon 45 and the Catamaran 47 each take up to 25 guests, and the Lagoon 38 up to 20.
It depends on the wind, sea conditions and the captain, who always has the final say on safety. If sailing matters to you, mention it when you request a quote and we will confirm what is possible on the vessel and date you choose.
The Trimaran 40 includes a national open bar and lunch. The Catamaran 72 and Catamaran 90 offer menus by charter length and an international open-bar menu; we confirm in writing which service your quote includes. Food and open-bar upgrades can also be added to the Lagoon 38.
Yes. According to their listings, the Catamaran 72 requires a minimum of 55 guests and the Catamaran 90 a minimum of 65. For smaller groups, look at the trimarans or the catamarans for up to 25 guests.
